Graduate Profile, Career & academic prospects of the bachelor’s dual degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education
Completing the dual degree in Primary Education and Early Childhood Education enables students to work as Teachers in the Primary Education and Early Childhood stages, both in public centers, and in state-subsidized and private ones. With the specialization in Foreign Language: English the graduate in Early Childhood and Primary Education will be particularly prepared to face the problems and challenges arising from multilingual education, in accordance with the current legislation. Graduates will be able to teach in three languages: Catalan, Spanish and English and join:
- Teaching-research tasks in the stages of Early Childhood and Primary Education in public, charter and private educational centers, with capacity to plan teaching and manage a classroom according to the institutional approaches of their school.
- Management tasks in the stages of Early Childhood and Primary Education in state, charter and private educational centers, with capacity to plan teaching and manage a classroom according to the institutional approaches of their school.
- Guard a group of students and attend to diversity.
- To intervene in the teaching-learning process of the areas of the primary and early childhood curriculum with scientific rigor.
- Out-of-school activities planning tasks.
Regulated profession
This qualification enables practice of the profession of Early Chilhood Education Teacher and Primary Education Teacher, in accordance with the current legislation. It also meets the requirements for knowledge of Catalan for teachers established by the Government of the Balearic Islands..
Specializations such as English, Music, Physical Education or Therapeutic Pedagogy are regulated in the Real Decreto 1594/2011.Academic prospects
