An Early Childhood teacher is an education professional that favors the development of the child, enhances his autonomy and sets its foundations of knowledge. They are characterized by maintaining an ethical commitment that leads them to work as a team and to keep learning throughout their lives. Aware of the pupil's reality, their family and their environment, the teacher designs globalized activities with a methodology that always encourages inclusion. Methodology it's based on experience and games, provides children from 0 to 6 years of age with socialization, safety, stimulations, norms and routines. Our educational proposal responds to the need of ensuring a quality education for children. The Balearic Normal School of Teachers, founded by Alberta Giménez in 1872, was already committed to this promise.
Our Early Childhood Education students will finish their degrees with a quality and specialized training. At the end of the degree they will automatically obtain a specialization in Foreign Language (English), which will allow them to teach in this language. They will also have the possibility of obtaining a second specialization (Educational Therapy or Music Education) and they will do internships in schools from the first year of the bachelor's degree, which will favor their future employment opportunities.

The prospective student-primary education should be characterized by cultural, educational, psychological and social interests of a broad spectrum; should possess a desire for understanding the fullest extent of the human being and a reasoned trust in the educational intervention on both formal and non-formal settings. That intervention can contribute significantly to the welfare of the people.
