A graduate in Primary Education is an educational professional for children between the ages of 6 and 12, attending state or private centres.
Our formative proposal has been designed to allow our students to acquire the linguistic competence in Spanish, Catalan and English, which should be accredited to teach in the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands; nonetheless our universal and European vocation has driven us to offer a training with no frontiers that has proved to be efficient in other educational systems. The impact of information and communication technologies has most definitely changed our relationship to knowledge. Keeping this in mind, we are aware that Primary Schools cannot evolve if they ignore these changes. Therefore we provide our students with the necessary technical and didactic knowledge, so they can make the most of the computing and audiovisual resources.
Completing the degree, students of Primary Education automatically get a specialization in Foreign Language (English), which allows them to teach in this language. They also have the possibility of a second specialization (Educational Therapy, Physical Education or Music Education). Also, they will do internships in schools from the first academic year, so they boost their future employability.
