The profile of students of Advertising at University College Alberta Giménez (CESAG) is above all that of alert and observant, critical and creative students. Their training for the future will make them active agents within the media and market trends, both from the classic and traditional perspective and in new digital and multimedia scenarios. Right from the very beginning, we will foster their ability to work as part of a team, without restricting their freedom, independence and autonomy regarding their proactive attitude. They represent intelligent professionals, with comprehensive training in the field of commercial and corporate communication.

They are characterised by their leadership and determination, as well as through their optimal handling of information and communications technology tools. Over the course, they will broaden the foundation they need with regard to their knowledge of aesthetics, cultural vision and artistic sensitivity, as well as their insight into strategic decision making in the current eventful and changing scenario.

Graduate profile

The graduate profile of the Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and Advertising is determined by the acquisition of all the general and specific skills described in the officially approved course plan for the degree. These include:

  1. Knowing and understanding economic, psychosocial, cultural and demographic structures and policies of advertising and public relations.
  2. Being capable of creating persuasive advertising messages and developing graphic elements, images, symbols or texts or any other resource with communication potential.
  3. Knowing how to practise as a professional, performing their functions and resolving problems, at an advertising agency, in customer relations or with any other agents involved in the process, and as the head of the area of communication for an organisation or company.
  4. Knowing how to create, establish and apply communication plans and to define and manage communication budgets for proper allocation of costs.
  5. Knowing and understanding the main variables and complexities of the role of the various market players: advertisers, advertising companies, the media and communication platforms and audiences.

  • Media researchers, planners and purchasers: professions who plan the suitability and characteristics of the formats for the dissemination of communication campaigns.
